Perfectly groomed and covered with snow they offer a wide range of runs and guarantee great fun for both skiers and snowboarders. This large ski area offers breath-taking panoramas making skiing or snowboarding even more thrilling. Snowboard and freestyle enthusiasts will enjoy the Funpark with its “wave line” for beginners, “jib line” for those who like a challenge and “kicker line” for champions, which guarantee heaps of fun and a good dose of adrenaline. The Racines ski school offers instructors qualified in all the winter sports disciplines as well as mountain and ski mountaineering guides. Younger guests can acquire their first experience on the snow in “Ski Land” children’s park. Its international award-winning fun-packed programme offers plenty of fun and enables kids to learn to ski whilst playing.
Cross-country skiers can choose between the classic alternate stride or powerful skate skiing.... and train on the Platschjoch cross-country trail at a height of 1800 m, which offers ideal snow conditions for cross-country. As well as training on this easy to medium-difficulty trail, you’ll be able to enjoy the stunning panorama.

There is also a perfectly groomed 5 km toboggan run, which can easily be reached on the eight-seat gondola lift.
To make your winter holiday absolutely perfect, why not stop off at one of the romantic mountain huts along the pistes or near the downhill station for a fun-packed après ski. Culinary delights, such as the classic snack of cold cut meats and salamis, delicious Tyrolean dumplings known as canederli or apple strudel will give you the energy and strength needed to practise demanding winter sports.
The quality of the ski area is confirmed by the large number of awards and acknowledgements it has received The 2009/2010 international “Skiareatest” evaluation portal rated Racines the top ski area of the year. In the 2013/14 winter season it was “Italian winner 2014”. The portal, which lists thousands of ski resorts in the world, judged the ski area as “efficient, diverse and genuine”. In 2014 the Racines – Giovo ski area was recommended by as a five-star leading ski area amongst ski areas with a maximum of 30 km of pistes and it came top in the “Cleanliness and hygiene” test category.
