For many people, a holiday needs a good helping of relaxation and wellness to truly be counted a success. Indeed, escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life and indulging in soothing peace and tranquillity boosts general health, as well as improving wellbeing. This is why we have recently invested so much time and effort in creating distinctly sumptuous spa and pool areas: the fabulous Spa Minera and Acqua Minera. When we created these spaces of wellbeing, we endeavoured to integrate them into the natural environment and reflect the family’s roots in Ridnaun’s ancient mining traditions. This explains the emphasis on regional and sustainable building materials, as well as our focus on ‘wellness above and below the surface’. Large panoramic windows provide views of the surrounding peaks where our guests enjoy hiking, running, cross-country skiing or Alpine skiing, after which they can relax and soothe body and mind.
In recent years our hard work has been recognised by several organisations, including the EU Ecolabel 2015, the Gala Spa Awards 2016, and the European Health and Spa Awards 2017. Most recently, we were the Global Winner at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2019.
Repeating our success last year, the RELAX Guide 2021 has again awarded us three lilies, rating us as ‘excellent’. This places the Plunhof firmly among South Tyrol’s best hotels, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! The RELAX Guide’s anonymous judges have been reviewing hotels in the wellness, spa, health and beauty categories in Germany, Austria and South Tyrol for over 20 years.
However, the most important judges are still our guests: if they are happy and relaxed, then so are we.
